How does it work?

This API offers AI powered OCR (Optical Character Recognition) service to automatically detect the complete tyre size with load index and speed index from the picture of tyre captured through smartphones.

It can be integrated with various applications where tyre size and other key parameters are required as an input.

Our OCR (Optical Character Recognition) model automatically extracts and labels all the key tyre information necessary (such as dimensions, markings, and specifications) using computer vision methodologies, and based on the extractions, recommends the appropriate tyre to the customer using a generic recommendation engine.

Tyres decoded by this API are passenger car tyres.

API modes

The API offers two modes:

Tyre-Only Mode: Recognizes and extracts information solely based on what is detected on the tyre sidewall.
Tyre + Rim Mode: Includes analysis of rim design/pattern to guess the make/model of the vehicle. Is slower than Tyre-only mode

Prerequisites

Image should be taken in daylight for best results. Indoor parking/low lighting results may not be good.

An “Image Quality Code Results” is returned by the API with the following values:

1 : Image quality check passed
10 : Image height and width are both less than 500 pixels
11 : Image height of less than 500 pixels
12 : Image width of less than 500 pixels
20 : High Brightness
21 : Poor Brightness
22 : The image is not clear or blurred

Authentication

The use of all our APIs is subject to the use of a user token. To obtain this token, it is necessary to authenticate by an API call.

The authentication allows to get the user token which will be requested in all the API calls.

When you register an app for any API product, a client id and client secret is created.

Client Id is treated as API Key and used to authenticate the consumer for subsequent API calls.
