RFID Technology in Tyres

Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) is a key Michelin innovation to enhance the tyre value chain. RFID is a Unique, Unforgeable and Readable in all conditions until the end of life of the tyre.

Tyres with RFID are scanned through manufacturing, inventory, delivery, maintenance and recycling services. Michelin is capable of tracking the full tyre lifecycle.

This dataset contains only the standard and public article information as defined by GDSO association (GLOBAL DATA SERVICE ORGANISATION FOR TYRES AND AUTOMOTIVE COMPONENTS), in collaboration with other tyre manufacturers.

It will be enriched with other valuable descriptive tyre information in 2024.
