Michelin Mobility Intelligence does not receive individual driver data. We receive anonymized traffic and driving event data through data provider partnerships. 

While Michelin Mobility Intelligence delivers data rapidly, it is not in real time. 

Michelin Mobility Intelligence does not directly collect cell phone or telematics data from consumers. We receive anonymized and aggregated data via our partners from drivers who have granted location permissions to a mobile application or vehicle navigation system. Users can opt out at any time using their settings.  

Michelin Mobility Intelligence does not collect or have access to cell phone or telematics data from phone carriers, nor do we partner with them. Instead, we obtain anonymized data on traffic and driving events through our data provider partnerships. We have established strategic partnerships with data providers through a strict vetting process to ensure compliance with the highest consumer privacy standards in Europe and the US.   

Michelin Mobility Intelligence does not collect any consumer data for our data products or services. Insisting on anonymized data enables Michelin to protect consumer privacy while generating road risk trends and safety insights to save lives on the road.  

Information contact forms on the Michelin Mobility Intelligence website include fields for name and email address (required) and an optional phone number. This information helps us respond to inquiries from interested parties while ensuring compliance with privacy regulations. 

Using the data we receive from our data partners, we apply our data science expertise and proprietary models to provide road safety professionals with targeted insights to help better understand trends happening on their road network that may increase safety risks for drivers, pedestrians, and cyclists in their communities.  These insights can help them identify and prioritize infrastructure, awareness, and education needs to improve safety, and reduce fatalities and serious injuries within their communities.
